June 4th was a day for births!! I had two lovely little darlings make their debut performance within 1 hr & 40 mins. of each other. That wouldn’t be such a big deal, except that they were born in their homes and those homes were over 60 miles apart!!! Thank Heavens for midwife friends who you can call without warning or notice. Inga Arts of Dayspring Midwifery came to my rescue and caught one baby while I was busy catching the other.
Malaki Matthew came first. He’s the 2nd son for his cute & delightful parents. He was born 6/4/14 at 2:23 a.m. He weighs 9 lbs. 3 oz. and he’s 23″ tall!! His parents worked VERY VERY hard to get him here. His mama is one powerfully strong woman, let me tell you!! She never gave up and never gave in. I couldn’t be more proud of her and her tenacity. The same goes for Malaki’s daddy. He was a constant pillar of support for his Wonder Woman Wife.
Malaki was born in the birth pool in his living room. He didn’t know quite what to make of this world, but it didn’t take him long before he was “telling” us all about his journey.
Then there was Miss Genevieve. She was born 6/4/14 at 3:07 a.m.
Miss Inga helped Genevieve’s mama & daddy welcome her. She is baby #4 and has cheeks FOR DAYS!! She weighed 9 lbs. and was 21.5 inches tall. Her mama had to work very hard as well but as you can see, she’s worth it. Miss Gigi (as her sibs call her) is absolutely adorable.
