So!  This big fella gave me a few more grey hairs…   Homebirth transfer to hospital

Paxton was born 1/29/16 at 3:10 p.m.  He weighed 10lbs 1 oz!!   We discovered that he had a bit ofHome birth transfer to hospital a heart issue in late pregnancy so it was decided that he’d be much better off if he was born in the hospital.  The extraordinary staff at Valley Hospital in Spokane Valley and the obstetrical team with Valley OB/GYN did such a wonderful job welcoming this family and the entire homebirth team.  In fact, we called it a home birth detour! His parents labored beautifully together and his mama is an absolute Warrior Woman.

Shortly after his arrival, Pax needed to be transferred to the NICU unit at Sacred Heart.  It was such a stressful time for his young parents, but I have so say that I couldn’t be more proud with how they persevered.

By the time of Paxton’s 6 week Well-Baby Checkup, all I wanted to do was sit and snuggle this little man!   I am so very happy to report that he is doing great and growing like a weed.
