Hello Sweet HazelTree Mamas. About a half dozen of you are getting very very close to delivering your darling babes and planning to do that at the Birth Home. Though we are still out of power there, I want you to be reassured that we are prepared. The hot-on-demand water heater is gas powered so you’ll have plenty of hot water for the birth tub. Also, my husband is setting up a generator as I type this so we’ll have enough electricity to run lights and heat. We’ve got you covered, Ladies!!!
I literally "thrive" in these types of situations. It brings out the Pioneer Woman in me, for sure!!
Sleep well, Mamas. Have no fears. We’ve got this! … See MoreSee Less

I’ve been so thoroughly blessed. HazelTree Midwifery has grown exponentially since we moved to the Birth Home in CdA. With that, HazelTree will be matching your Kenyan Girls & Midwives donations. If you feel led to donate, you can do that thru PayPal or Venmo.
Lavender_lady65@yahoo.com for PayPal (check friends & family so there’s no fee)
@Kimberly-Palmer-77 for Venmo.
I’ll be there the entire month of Feb. I can hardly wait!! … See MoreSee Less

Last night the babies cooperated and #TeamHazelTree had an incredibly fun-filled Christmas Party. There’s nothing more cup-filling than laughing as hard as we did last night! I absolutely could not love this group of midwives (& mid-husbands) more than I do!!! My heart would burst!
And a special shout-out and a loud resounding THANK YOU to Izzy’s Comfort Kitchen for catering.
Delicious food, excellent company, thoughtful gifts and lots & lots of laughter!!! Merry Christmas!! … See MoreSee Less

Hello Handsome!!!!
Mr G. was born in the birth tub at 2:58pm this afternoon, right into his daddy’s hands. His mama is a Power House birther with zero messing around. When she started feeling an urge to push, it was only minutes before this beautiful boy was earthside.
He weighs 6 lbs 15 oz & is 19.5 inches tall. He is his parents 4th child, 3rd son & their 1st HazelTree baby.
We are totally smitten! … See MoreSee Less
